Q2: Upgrade to AutoPrint Professional ?- Special offer for recently registered users of the standard version

AutoPrint Professional provides a completely different printing kernel, which is designed to operate as an unattended Windows32 service. This allows you to use the AutoPrint functionality also in complex server environments.
Instead of launching external applications like Adobe Acrobat the pdf-file rendering is managed by AutoPrint Professional through a dynamic linked library. For the adoption of this dll additional license charges become due.
Therefore we decided to provide two separate packages: AutoPrint and AntoPrint Professional.

Special offer for recently registered users of the AutoPrint standard version

If you have bought any standard AutoPrint license not more than 6 months ago and you rather prefer AutoPrint Professional you are eligible to receive a 60%-discount.  You may upgrade through the following simple procedure:

(1) Purchase another license of the standard version.
(2) Send us a short message by email. Please attach the original receipt if available.
(3) We’ll send you the registration code for the Professional version within 48 h.

Q3: Is it necessary to de-install a previous AutoPrint version before installing a new one?

No, if you install within the same package, for example AutoPrint Professional, it is even recommended installing the latest version over the former one. If you want to save already created settings from previous installations, you may save and later restore the file "AutoPrint .apc" Normally these setting-files can be restored further used after the update procedure. See the related AutoPrint page for the latest recommendations.

Take care if AutoPrint Professional is yet running as Windows service: before you can de-install, the service has to be stopped!

Q4: How can I move AutoPrint Professional to a different directory?

(1) First the current installation must be de-installed. Take special care if AutoPrint Professional was or is yet running as
    Windows service, see also Q6.
(2) Finally you may start a new installation to any desired directory.

If working under Windows Vista, Server 2003/2008 or Windows 7 it is recommended NOT installing AutoPrintPro into the default program
root path like C:\Program Files (x86). Better define an individual app-folder.

Q5: When running as Windows service AutoPrint Professional seems to ignore any settings changes.

In order to import the new settings the service must be stopped and re-started again

Q6: How to de-install AutoPrint Professional?

(1) If AutoPrint Professional is yet running as Windows service: stop it first and the remove it through the internal AutoPrint settings page.
(2) De-install AutoPrint as usual through Windows-Settings-Software
